Sanwo-Olu receives prayers as he attends Next Level Prayers Conference in Lagos

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was the focus of prayers and goodwill messages on Friday night as he joined thousands of worshippers at the 2026 Next Level Prayers (NLP) Conference held in Lagos.

The governor attended the large Christian gathering at Tafawa Balewa Square, where believers, religious leaders and dignitaries assembled for a night of worship, prayer and spiritual reflection aimed at strengthening faith and encouraging community transformation.

The conference was organised by Harvesters International Christian Centre and hosted by its senior pastor, Bolaji Idowu, who used the occasion to commend the governor’s leadership and offer prayers for his administration.

Addressing the congregation, Idowu thanked the governor for attending the conference and acknowledged his commitment to the development and welfare of Lagos residents.

“Your Excellency, Mr Governor, thank you very much. We sincerely acknowledge and appreciate your commitment to growth, development and the well-being of the people you lead,” Idowu said.

“We are grateful that you joined us tonight at Next Level. We consider it a privilege to have you here, and we pray that God will continue to grant you good health, strengthen you, and bring the dreams and aspirations for your people to fulfilment.”

The prayer session for the governor drew loud responses of “Amen” from the large crowd of worshippers gathered at the venue.

The Next Level Prayers Conference is designed to empower believers to deepen their spiritual lives while pursuing purpose and building stronger communities. The 2026 edition featured extended prayer sessions, worship experiences and teachings centred on faith, personal transformation and societal impact.

Participants at the gathering also shared testimonies of what organisers described as miracles and divine encounters during the programme, reinforcing the conference’s focus on spiritual revival.

Speakers at the event encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in faith despite economic pressures and social challenges, urging believers to maintain hope and continue praying for the nation and its leaders.
