…Felicitates Muslim Ummah at Eid
By Tunde Oso
The Head, Association of Urhobo Mayoral Family Crown, AUMFC, Dr. Eshanekpe Agimor Israel has commended His Majesty, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall, and Catherine, the Princess of Wales for the lavish reception for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding it is an honour for the entire black race and Nigeria, especially.
The excited Mayor said in his Ughelli, Delta State Mayoral palace on Thursday that no African leader has been so honoured by the British Family and Government in recent history, saying it goes to show that the world, who judges without bias are watching the giant strides of President Tinubu, which he said underscores the respect and honour being accorded him by world leaders as against what he described as the frivolities and shenanigans of the opposition at home.
Mayor Akpodoro noted that President Tinubu in all spheres of leadership has made Nigeria proud in his representation of the government and people of Nigeria on international stage saying, “I doubt if any African leader had been received in such grand style before.
“The whole kingdom suspended everything to receive a rare black man. The children, along the street, sang with joy – ‘On your Mandate we shall stand.’ They might have been told that President Tinubu is a god that walks among men.
“The motorcade reminded one of the triumphant entry of Caesar into Rome. Asiwaju might not be an emperor of an empire but he is a leader of many leaders. He is our national torchbearer, who is leading our country and people out of poverty into prosperity.
“The world has chosen this rare gem in African leadership and governance. Like or hate him, individual opinions about him is secondary to the opinions of world leaders, who judge a man without bias. To world leaders and well-meaning Nigerians, President Tinubu is the Messiah whom providence has given to the world. The British Crown has done Nigeria a great honour and back home we are grateful to the royal family,” the Mayor said.
The Mayor took a swipe at the opposition politicians at home for what he described as their penchant for discrediting Nigeria saying, such politics is strange in the 21st century global community where patriotic leaders stand for all that add values to their nations.
He called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support for President Tinubu saying he is at the pivot of re-enginering Nigeria and bequeathing a virile nation to “us all. Lets stand up in unity to renew his mandate in 2027.”
Akpodoro also felicitated with the Muslim Umah in the country and beyond on the end of this year’s Ramadam fast.
He urged Muslim faithful to live with the fear of the Almighty Allah and allow the injunctions as espoused by the Holy Quran to be their guide in all they do.
“May the blessings in the season of Ramdam follow all faithful as our nation remains in peace,” he concluded.
