Prominent Edo politician, Roland Igbadumhe, has sent out a heartfelt congratulations message to the new Deputy Chairman of the All Progressive Party, Edo State chapter, Sylvester Aigbobo, calling it a deserved reward for active youth engagement in the politics of Edo State.

Aigbobo was among the politicians who got elected at the Edo State APC Congress held last weekend in Benin City,  where delegates chose members of the executive working team that will pilot the affairs of the party in the next political season.

At the last Congress of the ruling party held in Benin City, , Sylvester Aigbobo’s contributions to the APC team in Edo State did not go unnoticed as he was chosen to be the deputy chairman of the party, a decision that a rising politician Roland Igbadumhe has hailed as an affirmation of his credentials for mobilizing youths into active political participation.

Speaking in a statement shared with reporters, Roland Igbadumhe, who is aspiring to become an House of Representatives member in the 2027  general elections, described Aigbobo as a consummate political strategist and grassroots mobiliser with a clean record of service to the people.

“I congratulate Sylvester Aigbobo on his election as the deputy chairman of the All Progressives Party in Edo State. Your emergence is a justified reward for your sacrifice and dedication to work and service in the party. It is  a well deserved  honour to a politician who has given his all to the growth of the APC in our beloved State.

“I strongly believe that you will discharge your duties for the good and advancement of APC in Edo State and that you and the other members of the State Executive working team will work hard to ensure a stronger APC in Edo  State”, Roland Igbadumhe added 

Speaking further, Roland Igbadumhe said, “Sylvester is bringing a new game into the politics of the APC in Edo State, he brings the youths together, he believes in youths and knows how to galvanise the youths in the State to participate  actively and massively in the politics. He carries them along and I’m sure he will see that they are carried along in this political dispensation”.

Roland Igbadumhe, who will be seeking to win a ticket to represent the APC in the House of Representatives, when the party primaries hold at the scheduled timeline.

Widely known in the  entertainment sector, by the. monicker Youngest Old Man, Roland Igbadumhe is a shining light and strong voice in Edo State, whose romance with politics has earned him  recognition and his contributions to the entertainment industry and his active involvement in the politics of Edo stand him in good stead to secure the party ticket.

He once served as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Entertainment to former Governor Adams Oshiomhole. A native of Okpekpe, famous for the internationally acclaimed Okpekpe Road Race, Roland Igbadumhe in. 2022  picked up nomination forms to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives under the APC.

He is also a philanthropist, setting up a functional orphanage home in his hometown Okpekoe where poor, indigent  and motherless children are catered for with funds coming from his pocket, showing that he has a heart of compassion.
