Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has successfully cleared the party’s screening process ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election. The screening was conducted by a committee constituted by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Sources within the party disclosed that Ajadi was among the aspirants screened on Thursday, March 26, 2026, as PDP intensifies consultations to present a formidable, credible, and people-oriented candidate for the next governorship race.

The screening committee, chaired by legal luminary Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, also Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), reportedly shortlisted Ajadi for Governor Makinde’s final evaluation based on his competency, leadership capacity, political experience, and grassroots acceptability.
