… Reaffirms Commitment to Education Support

The Habeeb Okunola Foundation has hosted a group of visually impaired students from tertiary institutions across Nigeria, reaffirming its commitment to supporting education and empowering the underprivileged.

The students, whose tuition fees are fully covered by the foundation, were received on March 30, 2026, at the head office of CINI Holdings in Ikoyi, Lagos, by the founder, High Chief Dr. Habeeb Olalekan Okunola.

Speaking during the event, Okunola reiterated his dedication to using his resources to uplift lives, noting that true wealth is measured by the ability to empower others. He emphasized that supporting visually impaired students ensures that access to education is not limited by physical challenges.

“I am delighted to host you. My foundation will continue to cover your school fees and provide monthly stipends for your upkeep. Your disability does not diminish your right to education,” he said.

He encouraged the students to remain focused and committed to their studies, stressing that education provides a platform to showcase their talents and achieve their full potential.

“This support is not just financial; it is a promise that you are not alone. Keep learning, keep pushing, and keep believing in yourselves,” he added.

Okunola further pledged sustained support for the students, noting that the foundation remains committed to their welfare beyond tuition, including continuous mentorship and encouragement.

Also present at the event was the founder of the Makemee Elegant Foundation, Mrs. Kehinde Adelaja, who commended Okunola’s gesture, describing it as a source of hope for the beneficiaries.

She noted that greater involvement by well-meaning individuals in such initiatives would significantly improve social welfare in the country.

The event featured an interactive session and a lunch with the students, during which Okunola reaffirmed his commitment to philanthropy, pledging to continue dedicating part of his business resources to supporting vulnerable groups.

The initiative highlights the growing role of private foundations in expanding access to education and improving the lives of disadvantaged individuals across Nigeria.
