The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has commenced a five-day technical training programme on the installation and repair of CCTV, DStv and Starlink systems in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The training, which began on Monday in Yenagoa, is being executed by Mode Four Solutions and has attracted 50 participants drawn from different backgrounds.
According to the organisers, the programme is designed to equip participants with practical skills in the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems, DStv decoders and satellite dishes, as well as Starlink satellite internet systems.
The initiative is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and creating employment opportunities, particularly among youths and aspiring technicians in the state.
Officials said the programme also aligns with the mandate of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board to build local capacity and increase indigenous participation across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Facilitators from Mode Four Solutions are leading the sessions, providing participants with hands-on training and technical guidance throughout the programme.
The training will run until Friday, after which participants are expected to receive certificates of completion as well as starter packs to support them in launching or expanding their technical services.
