NCDMB-sponsored Oracle Primavera P6 training ends in Rivers, boosts professional capacity

A five-day Oracle Primavera P6 training programme sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has successfully concluded in Port Harcourt, with participants gaining hands-on project management skills.

The training, which ran from March 16 to 20, was executed by Mathnebi Nig Ltd and attracted about 50 participants from various organisations.

The programme focused on equipping attendees with practical knowledge in the use of Oracle Primavera P6, a widely used tool for planning, scheduling and managing complex projects, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Company Secretary of Mathnebi Nig Ltd expressed appreciation to NCDMB for the opportunity to deliver the training on behalf of the board. He also commended President Bola Tinubu for his continued support to the board under the leadership of Felix Omatsola Ogbe.

According to him, the initiative has significantly enhanced the capacity of Nigerian professionals across sectors where project management tools like Primavera P6 are essential.

Participants at the training lauded both NCDMB and Mathnebi Nig Ltd for organising a comprehensive and impactful programme. They praised the facilitators for their expertise and the quality of training materials, noting that the sessions exceeded expectations.

The training forms part of NCDMB’s broader strategy to build local capacity and deepen indigenous participation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Industry observers say such initiatives are expected to strengthen the competence of Nigerian professionals and contribute positively to the growth and development of the sector.
