ABUJA – A sociopolitical organization, the Nasarawa People Mandate Group, has urged all stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship race in Nasarawa State to uphold fairness and ensure a level playing field for aspirants ahead of the upcoming elections.

In a statement issued Tuesday and signed by Emmanuel Zachary and Ahmed Umar, the group emphasized that political aspiration is a constitutionally guaranteed right and that every citizen should be free to pursue their political ambitions without fear or hindrance.

The group encouraged aspirants to engage the electorate through legitimate and democratic means, highlighting that party members should have the opportunity to freely choose candidates through transparent processes.

It also called on President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule to ensure that the electoral process within the party remains fair and inclusive, providing equal opportunities for all aspirants to participate.

The statement concluded by underscoring the importance of democracy and adherence to due process, stressing that political contests should be conducted with respect for the rules, stakeholders, and the electorate.
