Professional Background
My professional journey has been shaped by a deep passion for creativity and the power of strategic communication to transform businesses and brands. I am a seasoned integrated marketing specialist with decades of experience in marketing communications, leading initiatives in investment management, media sales, brand management, content production, media buying, and trading.
I hold a degree in theatre and communications arts from the University of Jos, and I have also attended several leadership and executive programs at the London and Lagos Business Schools. Professionally, I am passionate about driving efficiency and improving clients’ ROI, which has been my guiding principle as a media innovations expert.
I currently serve as the Managing Director of Dentsu Agyle, the Centre of Excellence for investment management, storytelling, and content strategy. Dentsu Agyle, a member of the MediaFuse–Dentsu Nigeria network, where I lead a team focused on delivering integrated marketing communication solutions that drive measurable business outcomes for clients.
With close to two decades of experience in the marketing communications industry, I have worked across several areas, including media sales, brand management, media planning and buying, content production, and media investment management. These experiences have helped me develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour, enabling me to craft strategies that deliver both efficiency and strong returns on investment for our clients.
Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about innovation and continuous improvement. At Dentsu Agyle, my focus is on leveraging technology, data, and creativity to redefine the advertising landscape and provide innovative real-time media solutions that support business growth.
Beyond my professional responsibilities, I am deeply committed to mentorship and social impact. Through my NGO, We Smile Empowerment Foundation, and my mentoring initiative Doyenne Circle and Women Leading Change Program (WLC), I support women empowerment and advocate for the development and inclusion of children with special needs. I believe leadership should extend beyond the boardroom to positively influence society.
Assessment of the inclusion of women in leadership positions
Over the past decade, Nigeria has witnessed encouraging progress in the inclusion of women in leadership roles across both the public and private sectors. More organizations are recognizing the immense value that diversity brings to decision-making and strategic direction.
However, while progress has been made, there is still significant room for improvement. Women remain underrepresented in many top executive and board positions, particularly in industries traditionally dominated by men. To bridge this gap, organizations must move beyond symbolic inclusion and implement deliberate policies that promote gender equity, mentorship, and leadership development for women.
In my view, the conversation must also shift toward creating supportive systems that enable women to thrive professionally without sacrificing their personal aspirations. When women are empowered with opportunities, resources, and a supportive ecosystem, they not only excel individually but also strengthen organizations and contribute meaningfully to economic development.
Women’s contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth and development
Women are central to Nigeria’s economic growth and national development. Across sectors such as entrepreneurship, agriculture, education, finance, healthcare, and creative industries, women continue to demonstrate resilience, innovation, and leadership.
In the corporate world, women are increasingly driving strategic thinking, fostering collaborative leadership styles, and bringing fresh perspectives that help organizations adapt to evolving market realities. In many cases, women also serve as catalysts for inclusive growth by prioritizing community impact and sustainable business practices.
The creative and marketing communications industry is a good example. Women are playing pivotal roles in shaping narratives, driving innovation in media and technology, and developing strategies that help brands connect meaningfully with consumers.
As Nigeria continues its journey toward economic transformation, investing in women’s education, leadership development, and entrepreneurship will remain critical. Empowering women is not simply a social responsibility—it is a strategic economic imperative.
Strategies for achieving balance between personal and professional life
Achieving balance between personal and professional responsibilities is an ongoing process rather than a fixed destination. For many women, especially those in leadership roles, the key lies in prioritization, support systems, and intentional self-care.
One important strategy is learning to set clear boundaries and manage time effectively. Leadership responsibilities can be demanding, but it is important to create moments to recharge, spend time with family, and nurture personal interests.
Equally important is building a strong support network. Family, mentors, colleagues, and friends often play a crucial role in helping women navigate both professional and personal responsibilities. Organizations also have a role to play by fostering flexible work environments and policies that support work-life integration.
Personally, I believe balance also comes from aligning one’s career with purpose. When your work is driven by passion and a desire to create impact, it becomes easier to navigate the inevitable demands of leadership.
Advice for the girl child and women on International Women’s Day 2026
My message to the girl child and women everywhere is simple: believe in your potential and never allow societal limitations to define your aspirations.
Education, curiosity, and continuous learning remain powerful tools for shaping the future. Young girls should be encouraged to explore opportunities in every field—from technology and science to the creative industries and entrepreneurship.
For women already on their professional journeys, it is important to support one another. Mentorship, collaboration, and shared learning can help create stronger pathways for the next generation of female leaders.
Finally, I encourage women to embrace authenticity and resilience. Success rarely follows a straight line, but perseverance, self-belief, and a willingness to learn from challenges will always open new doors.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, let us continue to inspire, uplift, and empower one another so that more women can lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to building a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
