Actress, brand influencer and entrepreneur Tomike Adeoye has said that despite her friendly and approachable nature, she does not tolerate being taken for granted.
Adeoye made the remark while speaking on the “Living Boldly with Queen Martins” podcast, where she opened up about her career journey, personality and how she balances her different interests.
The media personality, who studied Microbiology, said she refused to limit herself to one path despite the pressure many people face to focus on a single profession.
“In this age and time people will want to tell you just focus on one thing. I remember we met on TV I was that small girl who was fresh out of studying microbiology literally. I could have decided to just focus on the microbiology but I knew that there was more to me. I love talking so I always wanted to be on TV and all of that,” she said.
Adeoye also spoke about how her friendly personality sometimes makes people assume she is too easygoing, stressing that she maintains firm boundaries in both her personal and professional life.
“I don’t like people taking me for granted and so there are times I go crazy in the store because I see that they are beginning to relax ‘Are you people okay’? Literally in everything that I do as much as I can be friendly and smile a lot, I notice that at times people tend to take that for granted. But the truth is I am also a no nonsense person,” she added.
Adeoye is known for her work as a television personality, actress and digital content creator, and has built a strong following through her media projects and brand collaborations.
