With the countdown to its March 29, 2026 premiere underway, AVANTE is already generating significant industry buzz, with stakeholders describing the film as a bold contribution to contemporary African storytelling.

Victory Amah, scriptwriter and filmmaker with AfriSQuare Entertainment, congratulated the project’s producer, praising the vision, courage, and discipline required to deliver a film of such scale and depth.

“Bringing a film of this magnitude to the screen demands unwavering belief in the power of story,” Amah said, describing the production as a testament to visionary leadership and commitment to excellence.

The film features a strong ensemble cast led by Chimezie Imoh, whose performance in The Breath of Life earned acclaim at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards

He is joined by Kingsley Okafor, known for Marriage Stunts, delivering what insiders describe as an emotionally intense performance.

Also featured are Patience Ujah (Halita, Eagle Wings), Eddie Watson (The Waiter), and Ruth Nkweti (Living in Bondage: Breaking Free), adding cultural and artistic depth to the production.

The film is directed by Toka McBaror, whose credits include Dark October, Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons, Kada River, and Lotanna. His reputation for cinematic discipline and narrative finesse is expected to reinforce the film’s artistic integrity.
