Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka and members of the newly elected State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State chapter, following the successful conclusion of the party’s State Congress.

In a statement issued on March 3, 2026, the lawmaker representing Delta Central Senatorial District described the congress as orderly, peaceful and transparent, noting that the process underscored the democratic credentials of the party and reflected growing unity among members in the state.

Dafinone said the emergence of Chief Arenyeka as State Chairman, alongside other members of the SWC, represents a clear expression of confidence by party faithful and a mandate to provide focused, courageous and inclusive leadership at a critical time in the party’s development.

According to him, expectations among members and supporters are high, urging the new leadership to consolidate internal democracy, strengthen party structures across the 25 local government areas of the state, and promote a culture rooted in discipline, accountability and collective responsibility.

“As we approach important political activities in the coming years, unity must remain our guiding principle,” the senator stated. “The leadership must prioritise reconciliation where necessary, harmonise varying interests within the party and build a strong grassroots-driven platform capable of inspiring confidence among the electorate.”

He further emphasised the need for strategic mobilisation, effective communication and steadfast commitment to the ideals of progressive governance, stressing that these elements will be crucial in positioning the APC as a credible and dominant political force in Delta State.

Dafinone reaffirmed his readiness to work collaboratively with the newly constituted SWC to advance the vision of the party and to promote sustainable development and inclusive prosperity for the people of Delta State.

The statement was signed by Senator Ede Dafinone, Delta Central Senatorial District, and dated March 3, 2026.
