A former House of Assembly candidate, Eghosa Asemota Agbonifo, has called on residents of Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency to support the aspiration of Felix Osaze Igbinovia for the House of Representatives.
In a statement made available to journalists, Agbonifo described Igbinovia as a proven leader whose transition from a successful businessman to a public servant makes him well suited to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
He highlighted Igbinovia’s more than two decades of experience in the private sector, particularly his role in building and sustaining businesses in the oil and gas industry across Edo State and the wider South-South region.
“I have watched him thrive as an entrepreneur for over two decades,” Agbonifo said. “My admiration comes from seeing firsthand how he handles pressure and delivers results.”
Agbonifo also referenced Igbinovia’s recent service as the representative of Ikpoba-Okha on the board of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC), noting that his performance in that role earned him commendation from constituents.
According to the statement, Igbinovia recently resigned from his position at EDSOGPADEC following calls from constituents urging him to contest the House of Representatives seat.
Agbonifo expressed confidence that Igbinovia’s blend of private sector expertise and public service experience would translate into effective representation and improved living standards for the people of the constituency.
“He is a performer,” Agbonifo added. “Based on his past work, I have no doubt he will bring the real benefits of government back home to his people.”
