Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Kate Odulukwe is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated new single “BURNING,” scheduled to drop on March 25, 2026.
The track fuses high-energy Afrobeats with Afro-fusion elements, delivering a bold, dancefloor-ready sound that reflects Odulukwe’s signature blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and Pop influences.
“‘BURNING’ is about protecting your energy and staying lit no matter what comes your way,” Odulukwe said. “It’s built around the mantra ‘they no fit quench that fire’ — a celebration of resilience, self-belief, and owning your identity through every challenge.”
The single arrives with a vibrant music video shot in New York City, capturing the city’s nocturnal pulse while weaving in the cultural spirit of her Nigerian heritage. The visuals highlight the dual worlds that shape her artistry: her African roots and her upbringing in the Big Apple.
Odulukwe, who splits her time between Nigeria and New York, is no stranger to the spotlight. An Ivy League graduate from the University of Pennsylvania (Theatre Arts), she has performed with the American Theatre Wing—the organization behind the Tony® Awards—and continues to appear in film and television projects.
Her music has already earned praise from international outlets, with Wordplay Magazine calling her work “an exciting contribution to the ever-growing Afropop genre.”
“BURNING” follows her growing catalog of cross-continental hits and positions her as one of the most dynamic voices bridging Afrobeats and global pop.
The single will be available on all major streaming platforms—including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube—starting March 25, 2026.
