No fewer than 287 women, including widows, alongside other vulnerable residents, benefited from a humanitarian outreach organised by Deborah’s Impact Projects Africa, DIPA, in partnership with This Is Jacob, in Oniru area of Lagos.

The outreach, held on March 21 under DIPA’s Joseph’s Project initiative, combined spiritual ministration with distribution of welfare packages and meals, as part of efforts to support underserved groups in the state.

Organisers said the initiative specifically prioritised widows drawn from a widow’s association, who participated alongside other beneficiaries in the programme designed to address both spiritual and material needs.
The event commenced with prayers led by the Project Lead, Diezani Ototo-Onuorah, followed by praise and worship sessions, setting the tone for the outreach.

Speaking during the programme, Apostle Isi Igenegba delivered a message of encouragement in Pidgin, while also offering prayers for participants and the outreach team.
Also speaking, the Lead of DIPA, Nkoyo Ugbe, delivered a teaching session, with interpretation in Yoruba to ensure inclusiveness among the diverse audience.
Highlight of the outreach was the response to an altar call, where 31 participants reportedly committed their lives to Christ.

Beyond the spiritual activities, organisers distributed 287 welfare packages containing essential food items to beneficiaries, while cooked meals were also served on-site.
Ugbe, reflecting on the initiative, said the Joseph’s Project remained a demonstration of the organisation’s commitment to meeting the practical and spiritual needs of vulnerable communities.

Similarly, Ototo-Onuorah emphasised the importance of structured interventions, noting that the outreach was focused on delivering measurable impact on individuals and communities.
She said: “Every outreach goes beyond the numbers. It represents real lives touched and communities strengthened.”

DIPA, under the People of Influence Network, said it would continue to implement interventions across key areas including education, healthcare, food security and economic empowerment, while maintaining transparency and accountability in its operations.

The organisation also commended its partners, volunteers and supporters, particularly This Is Jacob, for contributing to the success of the outreach.
