Tribute to a beloved husband, father and grandfather – Hon Charles Ekhoerutomwen Idahosa

By Uyi Charles Idahosa

Hon Charles Ekhoerutomwen Idahosa was the heart of our family. As a brother, husband, father, and grandfather, he carried his responsibilities with strength, deep love, and full devotion.

He was a present and caring man who placed his family above all else. He checked on us constantly, paid attention to the little things, and ensured that everyone under his care felt supported, protected, and valued.

He believed in raising a family built on discipline, honesty, and compassion. Through hard work and sacrifice, he provided opportunities that shaped generations and gave his children a strong foundation for life. He led by example, teaching us to stand for what is right, to work diligently, and to treat others with fairness and respect.

Our Daddy was a man of principle who could not tolerate injustice or cruelty. He believed in kindness, equity, and dignity for all. His values were not just spoken, they were lived daily and passed down to his children and grandchildren.

On 20th December 2025, we lost our anchor, and a source of strength. While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the life he lived and the values he passed on. Your memory remains a constant reminder of who we are and how we should live.

Daddy, your love surrounds us still. You live on in our hearts and in everything you taught us.

Rest in perfect peace.

You are loved deeply and will be remembered with pride.
