“How God asked me to continue from where my father stopped” — Evangelist Peter

BOMADI — Ministers under the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) have commissioned a new ministry, Christ Intercessory Ministry, in Kpakiama, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.
Officiating at the ceremony on Thursday, the Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Winners Zone, Emevor, in Isoko North Local Government Area, Rev. Ibironke Peter, said the establishment of the ministry was in obedience to divine direction.
He described Evangelist Ujiro Peter, head of the new ministry, as a dedicated and hardworking servant who had served faithfully under the CAC in various districts over the years.
“Today, we have commissioned a new ministry led by a servant of God who responded to a divine call with clear instructions. He has worked for the Lord under the CAC here in Kpakiama for several years, and God has prepared him for the task ahead. We celebrate with him on this preordained assignment,” he said.
Rev. Peter advised young pastors to avoid the pursuit of quick wealth through ministry, urging patience and reliance on divine guidance.
“Young ministers should not be in a hurry to make wealth from ministry. Without patience and God’s guidance, you cannot complete your assignment,” he said, recounting his 35-year journey in ministry, which included years of trekking, cycling, and riding motorcycles before acquiring vehicles.
The PFN Chairman for Bomadi Local Government Area, Pastor Exploit Oweibo, encouraged the evangelist to remain steadfast, describing him as a trusted and faithful servant.
Sharing his testimony, Evangelist Ujiro Peter said he was divinely instructed to return to Kpakiama to continue the missionary work begun by his father in the 1970s.
“If God asks you to move and you obey, you will see the result of His faithfulness. God cannot send you and abandon you,” he said.
He explained that after years of service under the Christ Apostolic Church in locations including Port Harcourt, Orogun, Isoko land, and Abuja, he received a clear directive to return to Kpakiama.
According to him, his father left the community in the early 1990s due to inter-communal crises, leaving the mission unfinished.
“The Lord told me the assignment given to my father was not completed and that my task is to finish it. My father sowed the seed; I have been called to harvest the fruits,” he said.
Evangelist Peter stated that the mission of Christ Intercessory Ministry is to reach the spiritually and physically oppressed, offering hope through the preaching of the Word and outreach to those in bondage.
