NCDMB, Pioki Solutions conclude one-month woodworking technology training in Delta

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Pioki Solutions Nigeria Limited, has successfully concluded a one-month training programme on Woodworking Technology for 50 youths in Delta State.

The initiative forms part of NCDMB’s ongoing commitment to empowering Nigerian youths with practical skills across various vocational trades, aimed at promoting self-reliance and improving employability.

Participants drawn from diverse backgrounds and skill levels underwent intensive hands-on training designed to equip them with industry-relevant competencies.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Pioki Solutions Nigeria Limited, Mr. Idi Presley, who was represented by the company’s Human Resource Manager, Mr. Onwuma Emmanuel.

In his remarks, Emmanuel expressed appreciation to the NCDMB Board, led by Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, as well as President Bola Tinubu, for their sustained support of youth empowerment initiatives.

“This training programme is a clear demonstration of the commitment of the NCDMB and the Federal Government to equipping Nigerian youths with skills that will make them self-reliant,” Emmanuel said. “We are proud to be partners in this initiative and confident that it will positively impact the lives of the beneficiaries.”

Participants commended the organisers for the comprehensive nature of the programme and the dedication of the facilitators, noting that the training significantly enhanced their technical capacity and employment prospects.

The woodworking training covered key areas such as safety protocols, proper tool handling, project design, and practical execution, providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

The successful completion of the programme underscores NCDMB’s commitment to skills development and youth empowerment. Beneficiaries are expected to leverage the acquired skills to establish their own woodworking enterprises or secure gainful employment within the industry.
