Warri, Delta State — A five-day capacity-building programme on videography and cinematography sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has concluded in Delta State, equipping 50 participants with practical skills aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s creative sector.
The training, held from February 9 to 13 and executed by King-Fahji Nig. Ltd., provided hands-on instruction designed to prepare trainees for careers in videography and cinematography.
At the closing ceremony on February 13, participants received certificates and starter packs to support their entry into the industry. Many of the beneficiaries expressed excitement and gratitude, describing the initiative as a life-changing opportunity to acquire marketable skills.
The programme forms part of NCDMB’s broader mandate to enhance local capacity and promote the growth of Nigeria’s film and media industry. By equipping young Nigerians with technical expertise, the Board aims to stimulate job creation and encourage indigenous participation in the country’s expanding creative economy.
Participants commended both NCDMB and King-Fahji Nig. Ltd. for the initiative, noting that the training has opened new pathways for them to pursue their passion for filmmaking while contributing meaningfully to the nation’s economy.
