In what residents described as a remarkable year-end intervention, Dr Princess Ezinne Agwu’s Charity Initiative and Queen Elizabeth Chikamnele Agwu’s Widowcare Foundation extended humanitarian support to women groups, widows and spiritual leaders across the 14 villages of Uburu Community, Ebonyi State.

The outreach, held on December 30, 2025, was designed to close the year with structured support for vulnerable and community-based groups.
Each women group received four 50kg bags of rice, stockfish, 170 pieces of high-quality wrappers and ₦One Million cash support. The financial component, according to organisers, was aimed at strengthening women-led structures that provide welfare assistance within their respective villages.

Widows were individually supported with food items, wrappers and cash gifts, while pastors were presented with large bags of rice and financial support to assist their ongoing spiritual and social responsibilities.

Community stakeholders commended the initiative, noting that beyond the material items distributed, the intervention reinforced solidarity and collective responsibility at a time of economic strain.

The foundations reaffirmed their commitment to sustained grassroots empowerment and inclusive development programmes in 2026.
