In today’s digital age, where connectivity fuels opportunity and cybersecurity protects progress, Adeyemi Dahunsi stands at the intersection of innovation, resilience, and global impact.
Born with a curiosity for how systems connect and communicate, Dahunsi’s journey into technology began with a strong academic foundation in Telecommunication Science at the University of Ilorin. What started as an interest in networks and signals soon evolved into a broader mission: not only to connect people to the digital world, but to protect that world from ever-growing cyber threats.
Early in his career, Dahunsi played a pivotal role in the Facebook Express Wi-Fi project in Nigeria, contributing to the deployment of broadband infrastructure designed to bring affordable internet access to underserved communities. As his responsibilities grew, he rose to become a Team Lead, coordinating technical efforts and guiding deployments that helped bridge the digital divide. The experience reinforced a lifelong belief that technology should be inclusive, reliable, and empowering.
Recognizing that connectivity without security is incomplete, Dahunsi deepened his expertise by earning a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from the University of Central Missouri in the United States. There, he focused his research on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to combat cyber threats, particularly social engineering and malware attacks. His work reflects a practical blend of theory and real-world application, addressing challenges faced by organizations globally.
Today, Dahunsi works at Google LLC as a Data Center Technician supporting Machine Learning infrastructure, where he helps maintain and protect the large-scale systems that power modern artificial intelligence. His role requires precision, vigilance, and a deep understanding of system integrity — qualities that align seamlessly with cybersecurity and incident response in high-stakes environments.
Beyond his professional duties, Dahunsi is deeply committed to the advancement of the engineering and cybersecurity professions. He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), a global body dedicated to information security, governance, and risk management. He is also a Fellow of the National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES), reflecting recognition of his professional standing and multidisciplinary impact.
In January 2026, Dahunsi achieved a major career milestone when he was elevated to Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) — one of the world’s most prestigious engineering organizations. This elevation is reserved for professionals who have demonstrated sustained performance, technical excellence, and leadership, marking a significant endorsement of his contributions to technology and cybersecurity.
From expanding internet access in developing communities to safeguarding advanced AI systems on a global scale, Adeyemi Dahunsi’s story is one of continuous growth, service, and vision. His journey illustrates the power of combining technical skill with purpose — and serves as inspiration for young engineers and technologists across Nigeria and beyond.
As the digital world continues to evolve, professionals like Dahunsi remind us that the future of technology depends not only on innovation, but on the people committed to securing, strengthening, and humanizing it. Looking ahead, he remains focused on contributing his expertise to the advancement of technology and cybersecurity, leveraging research, industry practice, and global collaboration to help build safer, more resilient digital systems for communities and organizations worldwide.
