Bomadi APC holds smooth LG congress, constitutes 27-member executive

…Party pledges unity ahead of 2027 elections

BOMADI — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State successfully conducted a hitch-free Local Government Congress over the weekend, culminating in the constitution of a 27-member Local Government Executive to steer party affairs for the next four years.

The congress, held at the Bomadi Town Hall, drew key political stakeholders, with party leaders emphasizing inclusivity and harmony in forming the executive list.

In his address, Bomadi Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon. Rawlings Dagidi Andaye, stated that the formation of the party executive was a unified decision by party leadership. He urged the executives to collaborate effectively to strengthen the APC’s grassroots presence and ensure success for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections.

The lawmaker representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, congratulated the party on the peaceful and inclusive congress. He called on the new executives to prioritize unity and inclusivity in decision-making processes, stating, “We have shown love and respect for one another in this process and are committed to the progress of the party in Bomadi Local Government Area.”

Responding on behalf of the newly constituted executive, party chairman Mr. Seleyeibo Perekeme thanked leaders for the trust placed in him and his team. He pledged to foster unity and advance the party’s agenda in the local government area.

The highlight of the congress was the adoption of the new executive, moved by immediate past Bomadi Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. William Angadi, seconded by Barr Gabriel Yabaka, and ratified by the attendees.

The 27-member executive includes Sylvia Omi (Vice Chairman), Mr. Stephen Akpoegberibo (Secretary), David Bozimo (Youth Leader), Juliet Andazi (Women Leader), Collins Victor (Treasurer), John Ligha (Publicity Secretary), Kemasuode Festus Daniel (Auditor), Deba Bodonyefa (Legal Adviser), and Damian Port Harcourt (Financial Secretary), among others.

The congress concluded with party members reaffirming their support for President Tinubu, chanting slogans in solidarity with his 2027 mandate.
