ABUJA—The National Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Ambassador Godknows Igali, has congratulated Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State on his sixth anniversary in office.

In a statement, Igali described Diri’s tenure as impactful, particularly in infrastructure development across the state.

“My dear brother and Excellency, Douye Diri, I thank God for the sixth anniversary of your mandate as Governor of Bayelsa State and leader in the South-South,” he said.

He commended the governor for expanding infrastructure in the difficult terrain of Bayelsa, noting that roads, bridges and connectivity to remote riverine communities would be remembered for years.

Igali also praised the administration’s social welfare initiatives, saying they had positively affected residents.

“You have earned the sobriquet ‘Prosperity Governor.’ Bayelsa now stands tall among states in terms of progress,” he stated.

The PANDEF chairman further noted that Diri’s fellow South-South governors had chosen him as chairman of their forum, describing it as a well-deserved recognition.

He prayed for continued strength and wisdom for the governor to complete his mandate successfully.
