A series of events has been lined up to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Chairman of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, Mr. Mathew Tonlagha.

The activities commenced with a birthday praise event on February 2, 2026, in Warri, Delta State, followed by the public presentation of a book and a reception in Abuja on February 8, 2026.

According to the organisers, the birthday praise event is a significant moment of thanksgiving, dedicated to God in appreciation of what was described as “grace upon grace” throughout Tonlagha’s life and career.

The praise programme, themed “Grace upon Grace,” is scheduled to be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Mieka Event Centre, Mosheshe Estate, Effurun, Delta State. The event is expected to commence at 3:00 p.m. prompt.

The organisers explained that the birthday praise day is designed as a solemn yet celebratory gathering, creating an atmosphere of worship, gratitude, and reflection.

Renowned gospel artistes from across the country are expected to minister in songs of praise and thanksgiving, marking five decades of life characterised by divine guidance, favour, and notable accomplishments in both personal life and business.

The celebration train will thereafter move to Abuja on February 8, 2026, with the official public presentation of Tonlagha’s new book, followed by a reception.

The organisers noted that the celebration goes beyond a birthday ceremony, describing it as an opportunity to publicly acknowledge God’s faithfulness over the years. Family members, friends, professional associates, well-wishers, and members of the Christian community have been invited to participate in what is expected to be a spiritually uplifting experience.

The statement further emphasised that the programme will be characterised by heartfelt thanksgiving, worship, joy, and testimonies, reflecting a life sustained and shaped by grace over the years.

Speaking on the milestone, Tonlagha said: “Attaining the golden age of 50 is a significant personal and professional milestone for me, and the simultaneous unveiling of my book represents a defining highlight of my journey, capturing my experiences, reflections, and contributions over the years.”
