NCDMB, Olafrankies conclude subsea engineering, production training

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Olafrankies Integrated Ltd, has successfully concluded a five-day training programme on subsea engineering and production.

The capacity-building programme, held in Lagos from January 5 to January 9, 2026, brought together professionals from the oil and gas industry with the aim of enhancing their technical skills and deepening local expertise in subsea engineering and production.

Designed to strengthen Nigerian content in the oil and gas sector, the training covered key areas including subsea systems, pipeline engineering and production operations.

Speaking at the close of the programme, a representative of Olafrankies Integrated Ltd, Mr Uzorchukwu Henry Obiora, commended the NCDMB for the initiative, describing it as a major step towards developing local capacity and boosting indigenous participation in the industry. He urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to advance their careers and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the sector.

The partnership between NCDMB and Olafrankies Integrated Ltd, according to organisers, is focused on building sustainable local capabilities and supporting long-term development in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Participants expressed appreciation to both organisations for the opportunity, noting that the training had significantly improved their understanding of subsea engineering and production, and better positioned them to contribute to industry development.
