The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has partnered with Lucky Osanebi and Sons Nigeria Limited to launch a one-month welding and fabrication training programme for youths in Delta State.

The training, which commenced on Monday, is aimed at equipping participants with specialised, industry-relevant skills in welding and fabrication to enhance their employability and participation in the energy sector.

The initiative underscores the NCDMB’s commitment to developing local capacity and strengthening indigenous capabilities in critical technical skills required in the oil and gas industry. Through hands-on training and practical exposure, the programme seeks to bridge existing skill gaps while boosting employment opportunities for youths in the state.

According to the organisers, the training is structured to align with the NCDMB’s mandate of promoting Nigerian content by preparing skilled manpower that meets industry standards and demands.

At the end of the programme, participants will be awarded certificates to formally recognise their proficiency in welding and fabrication, positioning them for better career prospects within and beyond the energy sector.
