The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Bestik and Sons Nigeria Limited, has commenced a one-month training programme on electric meter repair for youths in Benin City.
The programme, which began today, is aimed at equipping participants with practical, hands-on skills in electric meter repair and maintenance, thereby improving their employability and capacity to contribute meaningfully to the energy sector.
The initiative underscores NCDMB’s commitment to developing local capacity and building critical technical skills required across the oil and gas industry and related sectors. Through its partnership with Bestik and Sons, the Board is leveraging industry expertise to deliver training that is aligned with real-world operational needs.
The training forms part of NCDMB’s broader human capacity development drive to bridge skills gaps and promote sustainable employment. At the end of the programme, participants are expected to acquire competencies that will enable them to secure jobs or operate independently in electric meter repair and maintenance.
