As Nigeria enters the new year, Rhema Christian Church and Towers in Otta is preparing its annual Bethel Peace Day Service as a spiritual intervention to address the nation’s urgent need for unity and stability.
Under the theme “Peace, Renewal, and Divine Direction,” the service, led by Archbishop Taiwo Akinola, is designed to engage individuals, families, and the nation in prayer for security, coherence, and progress across social and economic spheres.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, 25 January 2026, at the Champion Peace Cathedral along the Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway. It will be preceded by a Bethel Vigil on Friday, 24 January, where attendees are encouraged to present seven personal prayer points seeking divine intervention and breakthroughs.
Archbishop Akinola, alongside Bishop Mrs. Iretioluwa Akinola, will deliver messages focused on peace, purpose, and national restoration. The service is open to all denominations, reflecting its inclusive approach.
“The programme is not just another church event; it is a call to align with God’s agenda for peace and restoration. We believe God is set to meet His people in a special way,” the church stated, emphasizing the service’s relevance amid Nigeria’s ongoing search for stability and collective renewal.
