Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is expected to remain in charge for the UEFA Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night despite mounting pressure over his future at the club.

The 51-year-old is set to hold his pre-match conference on Monday despite speculations in the past 48 hours and ‘significant internal scrutiny’ over his future at the club.

Following the club’s 2-1 loss at home to struggling side West Ham over the weekend, reports emerged on Sunday that Frank is under increasing pressure to keep his job and the Spurs hierarchy is believed to be looking at alternative options.

Despite speculation, no final decision has yet been made, and the long-term plan has always been for Frank to lead the team through a difficult, transitional period for the club.

Tottenham lost 2-1 at home to 18th-placed West Ham on Saturday with a chorus of boos from supporters at full-time.

There were also disturbing reports of fans clashing with each other outside the ground, while a video has surfaced on social media of a fan approaching co-owner Vivienne Lewis in the hospitality section and making their feelings known regarding Frank’s future.

The result leaves Spurs 14th in the table with just one win from their last eight matches in all competitions. However, Frank has tried to remain positive and appreciative of this being a difficult period for the club.
