A former governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Imo State, Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh, has described the party’s national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as a visionary and people-oriented leader whose influence continues to strengthen the party and inspire emerging leaders across Nigeria.

Odunzeh made the remarks in a statement signed by his media aide, Comrade Gregory Chidalu, in which he stressed that true leadership is measured by the ability to raise more leaders—a quality he said Senator Kwankwaso clearly embodies.

According to Odunzeh, Kwankwaso’s political journey and personal conduct reflect a deep commitment to national unity, peace and progress.

“I firmly believe that the role of leadership is to cultivate more leaders, and His Excellency Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso epitomises this ideal,” he said.

He noted that Kwankwaso’s impact as a former Governor of Kano State, Senator, nationalist and presidential candidate has continued to inspire him to strive towards becoming a more responsible and proactive leader.

Odunzeh further commended the NNPP national leader for fostering hope, confidence and self-belief among his followers, describing him as a leader who encourages people to pursue their aspirations and attain their full potential.

“An essential aspect of leadership is uplifting those who are struggling and guiding those who are excelling to even greater heights. This is why Senator Kwankwaso’s actions motivate people to aspire for more, learn more, contribute more, and become more,” he added.

Expressing optimism about Nigeria’s political future, Odunzeh said he believes that Kwankwaso’s thoughtful and people-centred leadership style has the capacity to bring about positive transformation within Nigeria’s political system and the NNPP in particular.

As the country moves closer to another election cycle, he observed that political realignments are ongoing, describing Kwankwaso as a major political figure to watch, given his experience and people-oriented policies.

Odunzeh highlighted Kwankwaso’s political credentials, which include serving as a member of the House of Representatives, Governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence and Senator, noting that his leadership helped transform Kano State into a notable economic hub that earned him national recognition.

He also urged elected NNPP office holders, supporters and party members to remain resolute, focused and disciplined, warning them not to jeopardise the trust reposed in them by the people.
