Diaspora Community woos investors to Nigeria

Jalingo — The Nigerian Community in Turkey has intensified efforts to attract foreign direct investment into Nigeria as part of moves to further project the country as a prime investment destination.

The President of the Nigerian Community in Turkey, Prince Magbo, led the initiative during an engagement with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kain Real Estate, Food and Textile Investment Industry and Trade Inc., Mrs. Ebru Kain, as well as a senior representative of global oil companies, Ms. Arzu Cengiz.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Acho Righteous, the meeting was described as part of a deliberate strategy to woo international investors to Nigeria.

According to the statement, the core objective of the engagement was to facilitate the entry of foreign investors into the country, with a focus on stimulating economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and expanding investments across critical sectors.

Prince Magbo noted that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which seeks to revitalize the nation’s economy through strategic foreign partnerships and sustainable development.

He highlighted Nigeria’s vast investment potential, particularly in oil and gas, construction, precious metals, and real estate, while assuring the investors of the country’s readiness to welcome and support credible international businesses.

The statement further disclosed that the investors expressed interest in Nigeria and pledged to visit the country to explore available opportunities for mutual benefit.
