The Rotary Club of Shomolu, District 9112, has elected Rotarian Alabi Johnson Omeiza PHF, fondly known as Alabi Jodrey, as its President for the 2027/2028 Rotary year, marking a new chapter in the club’s leadership and service drive.
The election, which was described as transparent and well participated, ushered in what members have hailed as a period of renewed focus on impactful service delivery and stronger fellowship within the club.
Alabi Johnson Omeiza, a committed Rotarian and respected team player, is widely known for his dedication to humanitarian service, strong interpersonal relations, and passion for community development. Over the years, he has played key roles in several club projects and initiatives, earning the trust and confidence of fellow members.
His emergence as president is seen as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership capacity, vision, and unwavering commitment to Rotary ideals. The development is expected to further strengthen the club’s efforts in delivering sustainable community development projects in line with Rotary’s core values.
Speaking after the election, Rtn Alabi Johnson Omeiza expressed appreciation to members of the club, describing the outcome as a collective achievement. “I am deeply grateful to all members for the trust, support and confidence reposed in me. This mandate is not about one individual but a shared commitment to service, fellowship and excellence,” he said.
He will take over from Rotarian Adetola Adesanya PHF+, who is set to serve as President for the 2026/2027 Rotary year.
As the Rotary Club of Shomolu continues to uphold its motto, Service Above Self, the leadership transition is being viewed as more than a change of office, but a renewed commitment to excellence and positive transformation within the community.
