Nigerian-born, Germany-based Afrobeats and highlife artiste SHAWER has announced plans to release a new extended play (EP) in 2026, describing the project as the most ambitious phase of his music career.

Known for blending African rhythms with socially conscious themes, SHAWER returned to the music scene in 2025 with the single “Ndi Oshi,” a track that addresses corruption, economic hardship and political instability in Nigeria.

The song gained attention for its raw emotion and cultural depth, reinforcing the artiste’s reputation for truth-driven storytelling and socially reflective music.

“Ndi Oshi” marked SHAWER’s first official release since his 2022 EP, Showers of Blessings—a project rooted in gratitude, faith and melodic Afrocentric sounds. While the earlier EP introduced him as a reflective and spiritually grounded artiste, the 2025 single revealed a bolder and more confrontational creative direction.

Building on that momentum, SHAWER has confirmed that his forthcoming 2026 EP will feature collaborations with notable names in the Afrobeats scene.

He said the project reflects significant growth in his sound, artistic vision and professionalism.

According to the artiste, the EP will focus on storytelling, meaningful collaborations and the creation of timeless music that connects African realities with a global audience.

With his international base and evolving artistic depth, SHAWER is positioning himself for a defining year in 2026, as fans await further details of the anticipated project.
