AfroDives, an entertainment and culture newsletter, has recorded readership across 24 countries and crossed the 2,000-subscriber mark in 2025, signalling steady growth for the digital publication.

The publisher, Mr. Kola Muhammed, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the milestone reflects AfroDives’ commitment to thoughtful and analytical coverage of African pop culture, film, music, celebrity and media trends.

According to him, the platform, founded in 2021, operates at the intersection of culture and commentary, offering context-driven reporting that goes beyond headlines to examine influence, meaning and impact within the entertainment industry.

He said audience data from the past year showed strong engagement across borders, with pageview analytics highlighting stories and themes that resonated most with readers and sustained interest over time.

“The data has become central to our editorial strategy. It helps us understand audience behaviour, identify the stories that connect most strongly, and refine our content to support growth,” Muhammed said.

“As a content platform, understanding what resonates with readers and why is essential to improving storytelling and expanding reach. It is equally important to interrogate why certain stories land and use those insights to improve what you publish and how you drive growth,” he added.

Muhammed brings to AfroDives experience from media organisations such as Nigerian Tribune, RED Media, Pulse, TheRadar among others.

As the newsletter continues to expand its subscriber base and international readership, insights from audience data are expected to play a key role in shaping its content strategy in the year ahead, while maintaining a focus on culture-led, analytical storytelling.
