Nollywood actress Temidayo Babatunde has spoken passionately about her journey in the Nigerian film industry, revealing that her love for acting, rather than fame or fortune, remains the driving force behind her career. The actress opened up on the experiences, influences and defining moments that have shaped her rise in Nollywood.

According to Babatunde, her entry into acting was a conscious decision rooted in passion. She revealed that she began acting at a young age and has been professionally active for about four years. While acknowledging that fame has brought opportunities and opened doors that may have otherwise remained closed, she stressed that her commitment to acting goes beyond public recognition or financial reward.

The actress also cited Nigerian business mogul Folorunso Alakija as a major source of inspiration, noting that her strength, resilience and attention to detail have greatly influenced her personal and professional growth. Babatunde said Alakija’s ability to remain steadfast in the face of challenges has encouraged her to stay focused on her goals and remain determined in her pursuit of success.

Reflecting on her career so far, Babatunde said she has featured in several films and finds it difficult to single out just one role as her best. However, she described IPA (FORCE), released in November 2020, as one of her most memorable projects, adding that she believes her finest performances are still ahead of her.

She also recounted some of the challenges she has faced in the industry, including a painful experience where she was replaced in a role after days of rehearsal due to industry connections. Despite such setbacks, Babatunde said she remains undeterred and focused on growth, determined to make a lasting impact in Nollywood. With her resilience and passion, the actress continues to emerge as one of the industry’s promising talents, with greater achievements expected in the years ahead.
