The Yewa-Awori people of Ogun West Senatorial District have declared their total support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ahead of the 2027 governorship election, describing him as a leader with the capacity to deliver all-round development in Ogun State.

The endorsement was anchored on what the people described as Adeola’s clear vision, inclusive leadership style and proven track record in infrastructure development, social service delivery and economic empowerment across Ogun West and other parts of the state.

Speaking with journalists in Abeokuta, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and Convener of the Ogun West Initiative, Mr Bolaji Adeniji, said Senator Adeola had emerged as the “natural and overwhelming choice” of the people of the district for the state’s top political office.

According to Adeniji, Adeola has consistently demonstrated uncommon commitment to the development of Ogun West and the state at large.

“Senator Adeola’s facilitated and personal projects are not mere promises. They are visible realities that touch lives daily and make lasting impacts on both constituents and non-constituents,” he said.

Adeniji noted that the renewed unity among the Yewa-Awori people was largely inspired by the senator’s performance, credibility and leadership capacity.

“Unlike in the past, when our people were accused of speaking with different voices and working at cross-purposes, today the overwhelming majority of Ogun West people are solidly behind Senator Adeola,” he said.

“We see him as the best man, in terms of competence and courage, to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun and ensure equitable and sustainable development across Ogun State.”

He added that Adeola’s record of inclusive governance has positioned him to effectively bridge existing developmental gaps between Ogun East, Ogun Central and Ogun West.

Describing the senator as a leader of vision and action, Adeniji said Adeola’s interventions over the last two and a half years had significantly improved the standard of living of the people and transformed Ogun West into a centre of progress.

“Virtually every sector of human endeavour in Ogun West has been positively impacted by his efforts. This is why the entire district is united behind him to deliver all-round development that will benefit every part of Ogun State,” he added.

Adeniji further disclosed that the resolve of the Yewa-Awori people has been reinforced by increasing support for Adeola from the other two senatorial districts in the state.

“There is nothing more encouraging than seeing your own product embraced beyond your immediate constituency,” he said.

“For the first time in our political history, a political figure from Yewa-Awori is being widely accepted by the Egba and Ijebu people, not by coercion, but through genuine appreciation of Senator Adeola’s leadership style and performance.”

Expressing optimism ahead of the 2027 election, Adeniji said Ogun West was poised to break what he described as a long-standing political jinx.

“We are confident that this time around, Ogun West will break the jinx of 50 years,” he said.

“There is already a convergence of support around Senator Adeola, and judging by the spread and impact of his interventions, there is no doubt that he will deliver even, inclusive and sustainable development across all parts of Ogun State from 2027.”
