RSF Unveils newly renovated Ilupeju public library

The Rachisols Foundation (RSF) has completed the renovation of the Ilupeju Public Library and formally unveiled the upgraded facility as part of its 2025 Project Enlighten, an initiative to modernise public libraries across Lagos State.
The remodelled library now offers a more conducive, modern learning environment, underscoring RSF’s commitment to strengthening education, promoting literacy, and nurturing future leaders.
The foundation plans to remodel at least 10 public libraries in Lagos by 2030 as part of its long-term education development programme.
Speaking on the vision behind Project Enlighten, RSF Education Appendage Lead, Anthony Agbator, said the initiative seeks to promote both the tangible and intangible aspects of learning by creating systems that make knowledge accessible. He added that the project is designed to empower individuals, support academic success, and inspire intellectual and personal growth within the community.
Students from several secondary schools were present at the launch and participated in a quiz competition aimed at familiarising them with the upgraded facility. The modernised library is expected to greatly improve access to learning materials for students and book lovers across the Ilupeju community.
CEO of HS Media Group, Mr Taye Ige, delivered a motivational talk on the importance of education, while other dignitaries praised RSF for its investment in literacy and educational development. They expressed confidence that the revitalised library would have a positive and lasting impact on the Ilupeju community.
Notable attendees included the Vice Chairman of Odi-Olowo Local Government, Hon. Niyi Awodogan; the Librarian In-State, Mrs Kehinde Balogun; the House Leader, Mr Taiwo Ogungbe; the Chief of Staff, Hon. Olamilekan Adeyi; Mr Taye Ige; Pastor Charles Chukwuemeze of Rockcity Ministries; and several community leaders.
