Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, has distributed relief materials to victims of terrorism and extended support to rural hospitals as part of ongoing efforts to boost humanitarian assistance and strengthen primary healthcare across Southern Kaduna.

The outreach, coordinated by the Senator’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Aku Joshua Shai, provided essential supplies to vulnerable families in crisis-hit communities. Shai said the initiative aims to “cushion the effects of terrorism on affected families and communities,” adding that Senator Katung remains committed to helping rebuild lives disrupted by insecurity.

Reaffirming his dedication to peace and community support, Senator Katung stressed the importance of compassion and collective responsibility in restoring normalcy to the region.

“Our people have suffered unimaginable losses. It is our duty to stand with them, support them, and work tirelessly to restore peace and hope in Southern Kaduna,” he said.

In addition to the relief distribution, the Senator directed the supply of mattresses, blankets and mosquito nets to selected rural hospitals to improve primary healthcare delivery.

Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kachia and Kauru LGAs, Engr. Sanusi Jibrin and Garba Stephen Dakut, commended the gesture and lauded the Senator’s consistent commitment to the welfare of his constituents. They also prayed for lasting peace in the area.

Items distributed included mattresses, cooking pots, stoves, towels, buckets, soap, detergents, mats, blankets and mosquito nets.
