The Electoral Committee of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria, LAWSAN, has disclosed that a law student from Rivers State University, Dickson Vincent, is the duly elected President of the association and not Bashiru as claimed by the Caretaker Committee.

In a rebuttal statement issued by the Chairman LAWSAN electoral committee, LECOM, Chibuzor Joseph on Friday, he said the the position of the CTC is illegal, fraudulent and an attempt to usurp authority through the back door.

According to LECOM, the election was successfully conducted on November 27, 2025 and the Dickson-led Executive Committee was sworn-in on November 28, 1025 by the Chief Justice of LAWSAN Hon. Justice Sani Joan.

“As the umpire that conducted the just concluded national elections, we are compelled by our constitutional mandate to set the record straight and correct this blatant misinformation.

“The 2025 LAWSAN National Elections were successfully concluded on 27th November , 2025 under the administration of the 2025 LECOM.
