CSOs endorse BPP DG Adedokun’s leadership

ABUJA – Over 17 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on Tuesday publicly expressed support for the Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale Adedokun.

The CSOs’ leaders issued a joint statement highlighting their confidence in Dr. Adedokun’s leadership and the achievements of the BPP under his stewardship. The coalition includes prominent groups such as the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CFTPI), Citizens Watch for Good Governance (CWGG), Accountability and Democratic Values Initiative (ADVI), Nigerian Coalition Against Corruption and Waste (NCACW), Voice of Conscience Foundation (VOCF), Integrity Monitors Network (IMN), and Patriots for Transparent Procurement (PTP), among others.

In the statement, the coalition commended the BPP for several initiatives, including establishing units to monitor and evaluate procurement processes, advancing policies that prioritize Nigerian contractors, and promoting the participation of women, youth, and Small and Medium Enterprises in federal contracts. They also noted the introduction of a contractor classification and rating system set for full rollout in January 2026.

The CSOs additionally announced the cancellation of a planned rally that had been scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, emphasizing their commitment to truth, fairness, and justice.

The coalition concluded by encouraging continued transparency and accountability in public service and reaffirming its support for reforms championed by Dr. Adedokun and the BPP.
