BitMart, an e-commerce platform, has officially joined Nigeria’s online shopping space, pledging quick, reliable and efficient service delivery for customers.

The platform was unveiled at a World Press Conference held on Tuesday at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of BitMart, Mr Eke Eke, said the platform was designed to be highly consumer-focused, with strong emphasis on product protection, payment security and transparency.

“Our priority is to ensure that customers shop with confidence. BitMart offers full payment security, product protection and transparency across the entire transaction process,” Eke said.

He added that the company had put in place a clear replacement policy for damaged items to guarantee value for customers’ money.

“If a product is damaged, there is a replacement policy that protects the customer. We want people to know that their money is safe with us and that their shopping experience will be seamless,” he said.

Also speaking, the Business Manager and Chief Operating Officer of BitMart, Mrs. Tolu Ogungbade, said the platform was introduced to address persistent challenges in urban e-commerce, including delayed deliveries, high costs and limited access for local businesses.

“BitMart was created to solve the problems consumers and small businesses face daily, particularly delays in delivery and the high cost of logistics,” Ogungbade said.

She explained that the company leveraged same-city logistics to cut delivery costs and keep prices affordable for customers.

“Our same-city delivery model helps us reduce logistics expenses significantly, and this allows us to offer competitive pricing to our clients,” she said.

Ogungbade reassured Nigerians that the platform was the product of extensive research and careful planning, adding that BitMart was committed to providing full customer support to all users.

“We have done the groundwork, and we are fully prepared to support our customers and partners.
