ABUJA — Former Niger Delta freedom fighter, ‘General’ Endurance Amagbein, has denied allegations that he is planning an attack on military personnel in Bayelsa State, describing the claim as false and misleading.
Amagbein was reacting to a Facebook post circulated on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, by a group identified as Concerned Stakeholders for Peace and Public Safety, Bayelsa State, which alleged that “credible information” indicated a plan to attack soldiers and disrupt security in Igbomotoru Community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, during the New Year celebrations.
In a statement, Amagbein rejected the allegation and said he remains committed to peace and stability in the Niger Delta.
The former agitator, popularly known as Adaka Boro II, said the publication did not reflect the current security situation in Igbomotoru, which he described as peaceful.
“Igbomotoru is peaceful, and community stakeholders are working together to promote development and harmony,” he said.
He stressed that he does not support violence and has no reason to instigate unrest in Igbomotoru or any part of the Niger Delta.
Amagbein further stated that he has no dispute with the Nigerian Armed Forces, other security agencies, or any level of government, adding that he remains a law-abiding citizen.
“I have no intention of attacking anyone. I believe in peaceful engagement and respect for constituted authority,” he said.
He urged members of the public to disregard the allegation, describing it as unsubstantiated, and reaffirmed his commitment to peace, security, and development in the Niger Delta region.
