Sultan commends Ogun gov’s aide, Sani as an asset to Nigeria’s unity

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has commended the efforts and contributions of Hadi Sani, the Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Inter-Ethnic affairs, describing him as a symbol of national unity and asset to the federation.

The Sultan made the commendation during a royal visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Adewolu Ladoja, after attending the convocation of the University of Ibadan as the university’s Chancellor.

Speaking at the Olubadan palace, the Sultan commended the efforts of Hadi Sani, who always strives to create harmony and ensure peace among different communities in Ogun State and Southern Nigeria, adding that Hadi Sani is a shield of peace and unity among different communities. 

The Sultan said, “We are a nation with diverse cultures which is a gift that God has bestowed upon the people of this country, If you notice, the delegation that accompanied me to your palace are important personality from different parts of the country including Malam Hadi Sani, the Senior Special Adviser to  Ogun governor on Inter-Ethnic Affairs in the state, who is working day and night to ensure peace continues to prevail in this region,” the Sultan said.

The delegation that accompanied the Sultan to the Olubadan’s included the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Bambando, who is the Sultan representative in Southwest Nigeria, as well as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, among others.

Speaking to newsmen after the visit, Hadi Sani disclosed that the visit of the Sultan to the Olubadan was aimed to further strengthening the long-standing friendship and relationship, and building peace and unity between the North and Southern  Nigeria.

He said, the Sultan has continued to be a champion of peace, unity, and the values ​​of national unity which are essential for the stability and development of the country.

Hadi Sani added that Oba Ladoja welcomed them with open arms and assured them of his support for the friendship and ensuring peace and unity between the people of the South and Northern Nigeria.
