Ogun education ambassador partners with ministry for statewide digital training

The Ogun State Education Ambassador, Dr. Kayode Adewale, a Fulbright TEA Fellow and Top 50 Finalist for the 2025 Global Teacher Prize, partnered with the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to deliver a two-day Stakeholders’ Capacity-Building Workshop on the Digital Platform for Education Revitalisation (DiPER).

The initiative aimed to enhance educators’ proficiency in the state’s upgraded digital education management system.

The workshop, held on 11th and 12th November 2025 at the Cinema Hall of the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, brought together hundreds of school leaders, including principals, head teachers, and classroom teachers, from across Ogun State.

The training became necessary following the migration from the former OGSERA system to the more robust DiPER platform, designed to streamline school administration, automate reporting, and support data-driven decision-making.

“The transition from OGSERA to DiPER marks a new chapter in our Education Revitalisation Agenda. The platform is more intuitive, more responsive, and more aligned with the realities of our schools. It will make our work as educators more efficient, effective, and transparent,” Dr. Adewale stated.

He commended Governor Dapo Abiodun as a visionary leader whose commitment to digital transformation continues to inspire progress in Ogun State’s education ecosystem.

Dr. Adewale also praised the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Adelaja Arigbabu, and the Permanent Secretary, Alhaja Oluwatosin Oloko, for their roles in supporting the state’s digital transition.

“The success of DiPER rests on your willingness to learn, adapt, and lead. Your enthusiasm gives us confidence that our digital transformation journey is on the right path,” he added, acknowledging the commitment of school heads and teachers in embracing technology in their daily tasks.

Dr. Adewale also gave special commendation to the CEO and Founder of the sponsoring company of the 2-day training for school heads and teachers, Associate Professor Ademola Adenubi.

He described him as a visionary EdTech pioneer whose innovations, mentorship, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental to the state’s digital success stories on the new DiPER platform.
