Nestoil Limited has refuted recent online publications circulating on some digital platforms, describing them as misleading and inaccurate portrayals of the company and its operations.
In a statement issued by its Corporate Communications Department, the indigenous oil and gas firm reiterated its long-standing commitment to integrity, due process, and the rule of law, stressing that its corporate values remain anchored on transparency and accountability.
According to the statement, Nestoil operates strictly in compliance with regulatory requirements and has not engaged in any activity inconsistent with ethical business conduct.
“At no point has Nestoil acted contrary to the law or attempted to influence any official or judicial process. The company’s business practices are guided by honesty, professionalism, and respect for due process,” the statement noted.
The company further clarified that recent media reports had misrepresented details relating to ongoing legal matters involving parties external to Nestoil. It explained that the issues referenced in the publications are currently before the court, and all sides will have the opportunity to present their positions in accordance with established judicial procedures.
Nestoil emphasized that while an interim court order was referenced in some reports, such orders are routine procedural steps intended to maintain the status quo until full hearings are conducted.
“We remain confident in the fairness and integrity of the Nigerian judicial system and trust that the courts will address all matters in line with the law,” the company stated.
The firm urged the public and media professionals to exercise caution and rely only on verified information from credible and official sources to avoid the spread of misinformation that could mislead the public or distort ongoing processes.
Reaffirming its reputation as a responsible corporate citizen, Nestoil reassured stakeholders that it will continue to operate with the highest ethical standards while maintaining its commitment to excellence, community development, and adherence to national and international regulations.
“Nestoil remains committed to ethical practices, transparency, and respect for the rule of law. Our core values remain unchanged as we continue to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s oil and gas sector,” the statement added.
