Meneko promises peace, development in Odidi communities

Youth president   Odidi federated community in OML 42, Warri South-West local government area,  Delta State, Mr Meneko Keneku Friday, has promised to sustain an atmosphere of peace for development to thrive in the community.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration of the new youth executive in the community , Meneko assured that the new team will be transparent and run an all inclusive leadership system.

“Everyone will be carried along, and I will ensure that the needs of the people of Odidi federated communities are addressed. We do not have good drinkable water, and I will ensure that such basic needs are given urgent attention,” he said.

Those sworn in by Barr. Clarkson Arigbogha, the pioneer youth president of the community at the ceremony in Warri were Meneko Keneku Friday President, Stanley Kulele,  Vice President David Yebide, Public Relations Officer

Abraham Temene,  Secretary General, Ibilou Peremobowei Elvis,  Financial Secretary. Other members of the council were drawn from key community families, including Deribi, Taimiemene, Boseinmugha, Keyimbor, Gawele, among others.

Addressing newsmen after the ceremony, a  community leader Chief Comrade Bene Mamamu urged both the newly elected executives and the outgoing leadership to embrace unity, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence. He emphasized that the collective focus must be the development of Odidi and its federated communities, noting that harmonious leadership is essential for progress.

“The event marked a significant step in strengthening grassroots governance, promoting youth participation, and advancing sustainable development within the Odidi Federated Community “, Mamamu said.
