Renowned Nigerian fashion designer, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi (LDA), will on November 16 unveil her Spring/Summer 2026 line, “The Anniversary Collection,” as she marks 20 years of shaping African fashion with her signature blend of vintage elegance and bold cultural identity.
The Lagos showcase, supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and other major partners, is expected to attract top celebrities, industry leaders and fashion enthusiasts as part of a high-profile celebration of the designer’s two-decade journey.
Da Silva Ajayi, who launched her label in 2005, has become one of Africa’s most influential fashion voices, renowned for couture womenswear, ready-to-wear pieces, jewellery and hair accessories. Her contributions have earned her international recognition and positioned her as a consistent force in redefining contemporary African style.
The anniversary show will feature a runway presentation led by Elizabeth Elohor, founder of Beth Model Management, with two surprise musical performers adding to the night’s artistic experience.
Reaffirming her commitment to nurturing young talent, Da Silva Ajayi will also relaunch her mentorship initiative, Runway Renaissance, supporting three emerging designers focused on sustainability and craftsmanship.
Reflecting on her two-decade journey, the designer said fashion, for her, transcends garments.
“Clothes hold memories, the scent of celebrations and the pulse of our ambitions. They are silent witnesses to who we are and who we’re becoming,” she said.
The SS26 Anniversary Collection showcases her hallmark grandeur, sculptural sleeves, fluid silhouettes, intricate detailing, and a fusion of traditional adire with modern textures like Chantilly lace. The palette draws on symbolic colours: emerald green for growth, gold for triumph and sunlit yellow for joy.
The milestone celebration is backed by partners including Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Bank of Industry, Standard Chartered Bank, Heineken and Privé Events, who align with her vision of creativity, craftsmanship and cultural excellence.
Two decades on, Da Silva Ajayi stands as not just a designer but a storyteller influencing how Africa interprets beauty, culture and confidence through fashion.
