Renowned Nigerian designer, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, has clocked two decades at the pinnacle of fashion excellence, celebrating 20 remarkable years of creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural impact through her eponymous brand, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi (LDA).

Since debuting her first collection in 2005, DaSilva has established herself as one of Africa’s foremost fashion visionaries, blending traditional African aesthetics with modern couture to create designs that resonate on runways across the world. Her signature fusion of heritage and high fashion has consistently positioned her as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s creative industry.

Over the years, DaSilva’s work has gained global recognition, featured in leading international publications including Vogue, CNN, and Elle, and worn by influential women in entertainment, politics, business, and culture. Her label has graced prestigious retail spaces such as Selfridges London, YOOX, and the Dolce & Gabbana Spiga 2 Concept Store in Milan—where she showcased her collections for four consecutive seasons, a feat few African designers have achieved.

Beyond Nigeria, DaSilva has proudly flown the continent’s flag in major fashion capitals including New York, London, Milan, Dubai, South Africa, Las Vegas, and the Netherlands, in collaboration with Vlisco. Her commitment to pushing the boundaries of African couture has cemented her reputation as a global ambassador of style and elegance.

To commemorate this milestone, DaSilva is set to unveil “The Anniversary Collection”, a 20th Anniversary Fashion Show celebrating her journey of resilience, creativity, and excellence. The exclusive event, scheduled for November 16, will host an elite guest list of socialites, celebrities, industry leaders, and VIP clients who have played pivotal roles in the brand’s enduring success.

With two decades of innovation behind her, Lanre DaSilva’s legacy continues to inspire a new generation of designers and affirm Africa’s vibrant presence on the global fashion stage.
