Popular Nigerian digital creator Kidbaby has expanded her creative footprint with her first appearance in a Nollywood feature film, Oversabi Aunty, currently showing in cinemas across Nigeria and internationally in selected Odeon cinemas in the UK.

The film, which stars leading actress Toyin Abraham, has drawn considerable attention since its release, recording impressive audience turnout and sold-out screenings in several locations. Kidbaby’s role in the production marks a notable transition from digital content creation to mainstream cinema.

Industry analysts note that her move reflects a growing trend in Nollywood, where creators with established audience trust are increasingly integrated into film projects to broaden storytelling reach. Aliyat Olamide, under her stage name Kidbaby, known for her culturally inspired narratives online, brings a familiar authenticity to the screen.

Reacting to the milestone, she described the experience as a major step in her career. “Being part of Oversabi Aunty has been a learning curve and a validation of my growth as a storyteller,” she said.

In addition to the film’s box-office success, Kidbaby has announced a fan meet-and-greet scheduled for January 4, 2026, to engage supporters who have followed her journey from digital platforms to film.
