Family of the late Mrs. Caroline Lefishetu Musa has launched the Caroline Lefishetu Musa Foundation, a non-profit initiative dedicated to expanding access to quality education and strengthening community empowerment efforts across Nigeria.
The Foundation was unveiled at a well-attended ceremony in Lagos on Sunday, drawing family members, educators, community leaders and development partners committed to sustaining Mrs. Musa’s lifelong devotion to learning and service. It featured tributes, a visual showcase of her life’s work and a panel session reflecting on her values of discipline, resilience, generosity and a deep commitment to humanity.
Family members described the foundation as an extension of the deceased’s enduring mission to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to their background or circumstances.
Chairman of the Foundation, Patrick Musa, said his mother spent her life giving vulnerable children opportunities to learn and grow.
“My mother would give anything to ensure that every child around her had the chance to go to school. She was selfless and unwavering in her belief that education could transform a child’s future. The Foundation is our way of preserving that legacy,” he stated.
Guest of Honour and keynote Speaker, Abu Ikaghe, stressed the transformative power of education, noting that an educated individual often becomes a source of upliftment for entire families and communities.
“Education widens horizons and transforms destinies. A person empowered through learning does not just elevate themselves; they uplift others around them,” he said.
